I’ve been stuck in vegas for the last few days(I know that sounds like a terrible thing). I’ve been playing about of soldier of fortune to pass the time. I don’t know if anyone remembers that game. But its was one of the first really violent video games where you could literally blow the arms and legs off of your enemy.  But I am really enjoying the game again. One thing that I think is funny is the parental advisory that pops up when you install the game. It warns that Soldier of Fortune is an extremely violent game. I don’t recall seeing this kind of warning on video games any more. What has changed from then to know where a violent warning is not necessary? Does it say something about our society? I think it does. I think we are becoming accustomed to violence. If we are not I know that I am and I must admit that scares me a little bit. Thats really all I’ve got to say on the matter, but it should give you something to think about.
